Lamentations 3:21-23 New Day

Lamentations 3:21-23

“Because of the Lord’s great love we are not consumed, for his compassions never fail. They are new every morning; great is your faithfulness.”


Each day God gives us another chance. He gives us a new day, new benefits, and a new opportunity. His compassion never fails, so we need to take advantage of the opportunity. You have another chance to be healthy. You have another chance to exercise. You have another chance to eat healthy. You have another chance to set an example for your children.


You might fall down, but you must get up because you have another chance.


Each opportunity that God gives us, we should try to be mindful to take care of our body. We can’t do God’s work if we aren’t physically well. So take advantage of your new day and be healthy for the Lord.

1Cor 3:16 You are the temple of God

1Cor 3:16

“Don’t you know that you yourselves are God’s temple and that God’s spirit lives in you?”


No matter how much you think you belong to yourself, you don’t. You belong to the Lord. Your body is not yours, it’s the Lord’s and you need to treat it as such. Just like you need to be careful about what you put into your spirit, you must be careful about what you put in your body. Junk deposits only return junk. Pay attention to what you are eating. Care for your body. Your temple is not yours, so treat it with respect.

Joshua 1:9 God has your back

Joshua 1:9

“Do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.”


No matter how hard things are getting, no matter how much you haven’t been working out, just be encouraged because God has your back. Be strong and courageous. Know that you can do all things with God on your side.

Proverbs 15:29 God hears your prayers

I workout twice a day, 5-6 times a week for 8-12 weeks, when I’m preparing for a bodybuilding show. I don’t always feel like working out but I push myself and I ask God’s for help. Before starting my workouts or while I’m warming up, I pray to God to help me while I’m working out.

The Lord is far from the wicked, but he hears the prayer of the righteous. (Proverbs 15:29).

I ask him to give me the strength to complete another workout. You might not want to workout but after praying, God will definitely guide you right through it. You will feel much better at the completion of the workout.

Stay healthy and be fit for the Lord.

1Cor 6:19-20 You are not your own

1Cor 6:19-20

“Your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, who you have received from God?”


You are not your own; you were bought with a price. Therefore honor God with your body. The Holy Spirit is in you. When you care for your body, you are honoring God. Everything you do with your body should be to honor God. For it’s not your body, it belongs to the Lord. God should get the glory out of everything in your life. Be healthy for the Lord.

John 10:10 Abundant Life

John 10:10

“I have come that they may have life and have it more abundantly.” The NIV version of the Bible says that God has come so that we may have life and to have it to the fullness. Abundant means life in full. You should be full of life, full of love, and full of wisdom.


God wants you to be full of life, then you need to be healthy. If you are working out regularly and full of energy, then you will be full of life. God needs you to be abundant and at your peak to do the work that he has for you today. If you are lacking, then you can’t operate at your optimum level. Be the best that you can be for God by being healthy and full of life.
