Learn to love yourself

Mark 12:31
The second is this: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ There is no commandment greater than these.”

If you don’t love yourself, how can you love your neighbor.

God loves you so you must love yourself. If you love yourself, you should take care of yourself. Eating healthy, working out, and getting rest are some of the keys to being and staying healthy.

Some people just want to love and others just want to be loved. You even have some that are actually ready for love. But to have all three is to be complete. To love someone is to be understanding when you don’t want too. Love is an expression. To love someone is to look out for their best interest. You can be loved without even knowing that a person loves you. God loves each and every person on earth, but everyone does not realize this.

To be ready for love means to actually except that this person actually loves you. Loving someone is an action word. It should be displayed or manifested in some capacity. Learn to love yourself and take care of your body. For the body is the temple of the Holy Spirit.

LT, I have taken care of my health for so long. I’ve done it because I was desperate to be healthy. However, I leaned on my own understanding about this and neglected to receive God’s love. I’m not sure but I think I’ve stopped the blessings from flowing because I didn’t walk in peace about myself. It was all about “you must do this, and you must do that” and I failed to receive the love God wants to give me. Does this make sense? Rejection through me for a loop, having done all I could and believed was right to do. My husband filed for divorce and old mindsets looked for an “in”. I don’t know if it was because of “all I did”,(reaping consequences for the seeds sown) or whether it was a test to see if I would “stand”. But I fell over and over this past 1 1/2 years, then gotten up and kept going. The key I’m finding out is that I must “grow up”! Also that God loves me and I need to love myself and not “try to figure out” what I did wrong!
Vain Imagination for me is like alcohol to an alcholic! Like those in the 12 step program, I need daily to submit my mind to God and read the Word that tells me how much God loves me.
If you know a resource that can help with that, I’d appreciate it! I know there are probably lots!
    Thanks for reading.
