Apply the Knowledge

Proverbs 23:12

Apply thine heart unto instruction, and thine ears to the words of knowledge.”

It is a great thing to have knowledge but if you do nothing with it, it will do you no good.  No matter how much I know about fitness, if I never applied that knowledge, I would probably be over weight  and out of shape.  So, don’t just seek knowledge but put it to good use.

Detrimental State

Hosea 4:6

“My people are destroyed from lack of knowledge.”

If you know not you have not.  Knowledge is power and if you are lacking information about a particular subject, find someone who can teach you.  This principle applies to living a healthy lifestyle.  If you don’t know how to workout or how to start living a healthy lifestyle, you should find a professional can assist you.  The more you know about living healthy, the better you can apply it.  So get the knowledge and be healthy.

Thanks for reading my blog.

Are you eating the right cereal?

Proverbs 1:4-6 (New International Version)

5 let the wise listen and add to their learning,
and let the discerning get guidance

Choosing the right cereal is not an easy task. There are so many choices. When choosing a cereal, you want to make sure whole grain is included. You also want to make sure the sugar content is low as well. Most cereals have too much sugar in it. This is why I just eat hot cereal now. Grits, Cream of Wheat or Natural oatmeal. The instant oatmeal has too much sugar.  Here is an article that will educate you on choosing the right cereal.

Your Heart is Counting On You

Do your Cardio, because your heart is counting on you.
Cardio fitness is to heart as bible is to Christian walk.

2 Timothy 3:14-17
All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work. To have a healthy Christian walk, you must read the bible. This is something that you should do daily. Reading the bible renews your mind. It is for instruction, reproof, correction, motivation, etc……….. It will surely enhance and prolong your life.

To have a healthy heart, you must do cardio. To have a healthy Christian walk, you must read the bible. Cardio is the medical term used that to reference the heart. From Greek kardia: heart. Aerobic means with oxygen.

Cardio is used in reference to exercises and/or equipment intended for cardiovascular fitness and endurance training (aerobic exercise). “To do cardio”, is a common usage of this term, which means to engage in running or other endurance training for a set period of time. Have cardio equipment at home is a great way to be sure to get it in.

Types of cardio Bike riding (any type of bike)

  • Dance class
  • Walking
  • Swimming
  • Any type of aerobic machine
  • Water aerobics

Your heart is the most important muscle in your body. Doing cardio benefits your heart. When you don’t engage in aerobic exercises, your heart suffers. Make an effort to do some type of cardio 3-6 times per week. Even if you only do 15 minutes a day, that is better than not at all. Ideally, you want to do 30 minutes a day. It is a process so you must start somewhere.
Do your cardio, because your heart is counting on you.
